This Iris ensata came from Terra Nova as tiny plant a couple of years ago. It is planted in one of my bog planters and has just produced it's first flower.

Well worth the wait, don't you think?

A fantastic flower, love it. The Bay Garden has a number of varieties of them  growing down at the end of the woodland garden and in the last few years when I visit if one is for sale I buy one. I think they are gorgeous the way they hold their flowers up to the sky.

Not a lover of Iris but the colours are fantastic.

We don't get flowers like that every day, Fran.
