About my garden: The total site area of our garden and paddock to the front is over 6 acres, we have tried to let the paddock and garden blend into each other and planted shrubs and plants in beds either side of the front door. There is now a large pond to the back of the house which can be seen from all the main rooms including the kitchen. The pond has a natural clay base and was made were an old gravel quarry was located. The garden is an on going project and as much stone -boulders from the farm have been used to create the terrace with beds that slope sharply to the lawn area by the pond. The main flower beds are to the back of the house and have just been planted. Presently a vegetable garden is being made and I'm looking forward to being able to produce most of our own veg. The countryside around us is unspolit and this means that the views from house and garden gives an impression of peace and tranquility an escape from the real world.
More about me: I came to Glaslough in 1975 and thought I had stepped back in time. I'm married to Johnny with 2girls and 4 boys youngest is now 18.In 2004 we moved from our Equestrian business at Castle Leslie and started a new business Cloncaw Equestrian on our farm on the edge of Glaslough village.Just before Christmas 2006 we moved into a newly built house and over the last 2 years I have spent my time between teaching riding and creating a house that could have been here for years. Interior design is another of my interests, from choosing fabrics to making them up to compliment the Victorian feel to the house. Gardening has always been something I have liked to dabble at when I have time I love country style, roses and a garden for wildlife.
